The Staff of Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, its Tenants and Employees would like to thank the traveling public for its cooperation during this period of heightened security. Gulfport-Biloxi has returned to a normal flight schedule and has implemented several new security measures.

ADVANCED IMAGING TECHNOLOGY (HOW IT WORKS)

Gulfport Police Department Airport Division   The Gulfport Police Department has general law enforcement authority and responsibility within the territory embraced by the City of Gulfport. All officers are state certified and empowered to enforce Mississippi State Laws and the Ordinances of the City of Gulfport within the geographical boundaries of the Airport District.  The members of the Police Department reflect the diverse community that we serve. Law enforcement services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by foot, car, and bicycle. The Department works closely with the Transportation Security Administration and all other Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies to carry out its mission. The Gulfport Police Department is NOT responsible for passenger or baggage screening.  This is done solely by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). TSA can be reached at 228-822-8309.

Bicycle & ATV Patrol Unit

The Gulfport Police Department Airport Division incorporates bike and ATV patrols as an element within its daily operations. The bike and ATV patrols provide an enhanced level of security and customer service at the airport. The officers work mainly in the terminal facilities and parking lots. Officers assigned to bike and ATV patrol provide a very mobile and flexible response capability to access areas not readily available with a patrol car.
