DELTA AIRLINES TO UPGRADE SERVICE AT GULFPORT-BILOXI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport will offer customers additional travel options effective Sept. 1, 2005, when Delta Air Lines upgrades two existing regional jet flights operated by Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) with the 142-seat MD-88 aircraft. With the addition of MD-88 service, one daily flight currently operated with the 100-seat Boeing 737-200 will be operated with regional jet aircraft. The new service will add 94 daily seats to Atlanta. With the new jet service, Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection carriers ASA and Chautauqua will offer eight daily non-stop flights to Atlanta and one daily non-stop flight to Orlando. "We are excited that the new MD-88 service will increase seat availability and shows that Delta Air Lines is committed to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Airport Authority is certain that we will exceed expectations," said Frank Genzer, Airport Authority Chairman.
